Now You're Getting It: Poor in Spirit

At the beginning of his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus imparts on us characteristics of what Christian living looks like. We commonly know these as the Beatitudes. Today, we are looking at what it means when we are poor in spirit - the first of Jesus' Beatitudes. But first, we also need to establish what it means to be blessed, because that's a word we're going to be encountering a lot in this series.
